I usually do the Thursday night rides.

I wasn't there last Thursday and I won't be there this Thursday but I will continue to do the Thursday night rides as often as possible. As Speedie says, this is supposed to be a social ride ending up with a few nibbles and drinks at the pub. It has always been held as a social ride and I for one enjoy the ride and the company.

Long live the Thursday night ride...!

    Yeh, good luck with that.

If they don't get you for speed, they'll start targetting regos and wofs, once they've done that they'll find those breaking license conditions (ie. more than 250cc etc...).

Why not take the hint that they just don't want bikers going over there?

I might come along on my un-warranted un-registered motorcycle on my suspended drivers license without wearing a helmet, only my stubbie shorts and my Head Hunters patched leather jacket with drugs lining its pockets.

And if I can find my sawn off shot gun that has been used in countless drive by shootings and armed robberies and was originally stolen - I'll bring that too.

This is a big "maybe" as I've got to bash my Girlfriend first and then kill my children so I may be late.

Yeah, come over to my place and we can plan a home invasion or order some pizza and bash the delivery guy to death.

No, I'm pretty sure it would be classed as indicent exposure.

Anyway, I'm off to sell drugs to the local school kiddies.

SO everyone get your asses to Westgate at 1830 tonight, have a fun, safe ride, the police will be there, show em that they are wasting there time by coming.
Or you could go on Thursday and meet up with everyone else! lol
See you at the pub people.

To tell the truth I'd love to come on one of these rides and meet everyone I've been taking the piss out of (in a light hearted manner) but it's just too much of a pain in the arse to travel 50km to get there then another 50km home AFTER the pub. We should organise a South or East Auckland one for the rest of us coz it's a damn good idea..contrary to common belief not everything in Auckland revolves around the North Shore or Waitakere City....I'd organise it but having only been riding for 4 months the chances of anyone respecting what I have to say are slim to fock all!

Respect to the Qkchk and whanau for all their work - seems to be a good little institution you got going on Thuirsday nights.

Heilen Klarke is "just borrowing" the funds for the election bribes...

Get organising! It dosen't have to be you who leads/organises the ride, but just getting people together at a start point and thinking up a finishing place that may be amenable to a few extra patrons... Once the right things are found it will find it's own momentum.
ATNMJR will commence = Auckland Thursday Night McJim Rides!

He also said that marked cop cars are supposed to get people for 11km/h over or more while unmarked cop cars are for the higher speeders.

I think I'll go by that rather than do 120 and hope they don't mind.

I and many others have found that meeting KBers in person changes your attitude and tone of posts dramatically, especially when you are publicly addressing them or a thread they are in...that's why WINJA is still such a blankety blank individual online, cos he doesn't go to KB events, so has hardly met anyone face to face! YOU may wanna think twice or else your online persona may not be so witty any longer??

Ahhh... give it a go... I organised a ride when I only had my restricted for a few months... Had a total of 50-odd bikes attended the ride... it was great, and everyone followed the directions given... I had some help from more experienced members, but thats all for learning

    Seriously... give it a go...

So my posts will stop being generally jovial and I'll start getting abusive?

Have met shedloads of riders on the Learner Friendlys out east already.

I'm an L plate rider with a young family - too many commitments in terms of sticking to the speed limit (70kph) and putting children to bed in the evening. No experience of riding in the dark yet. Will come along when Daylight savings does it's thang at the beginning of October but would just be a liability in the meantime. Should be restricted at beginning of Nov and full licence end of Jan.

Have already promised Qkchk I would turn up one day....and yes..I really am a loud mouthed glaswegian in real life!

Will see how family commitments go to try and get an evening run started in this neck of the woods. Will probably avoid Thursday though in case some socialites want to attend 2 evening runs in any given week.
