Just about to head out, see you all there
I felt an emotion bubbling up from the inside.
    It was warm.
    Is coffee an emotion?

Well the new GoPro did really well for most of the ride. A few things to experiment with.
Unfortunately the gravel patch we encountered was probably a little too far away, and the resolution set too low for when I tried to zoom in.
I failed to attach the video anyway. It's in MP4 format, what else needs to be done in order to attach it?
I'd rather be sorry for something I've done, than for something I didn't do.

    I'd do YouTube. It's easier!

Toying with ones mortality shouldn't be this much fun.

If it does get posted somewhere can I get a link? (I was on the R1).

Also, cheers for the ride - couple of laughs, and some good bike control
    Ciao Marco

Hey boys & girls, just heard via facebook that there is unmarked pea gravel on Old North Road and SH16. A couple of bikes binned in the weekend, and the council is out responding to the heads up I gave them today.

Yeah, yesterday the gravel on SH 16 was plentiful. There was maybe five or six stretches of road affected.

They are so feckin' irresponsible when it comes to road repairs. How difficult is it to put up some signs to warn of road works?
Perhaps if we didn't have ACC the threat of litigation as a result of their ineptitude, or lack of diligence, may make them become a bit more aware of the dangers they create.
Having become a victim to their slack behaviour I tend to get a little excitable when I hear they are continuing with this practice with absolute disregard for the carnage their actions lead to. I liken it to leaving a loaded gun lying around.
Is it because the people who fix the roads now are private contractors and are trying to limit their costs to maximise their profits.
Recidivist offenders should be pursued and brought to task for their behaviour under those provisions of ACC that cover wanton disregard for the safety of others.
I guess that is a job for the minister responsible. Who is that? Ahh! Judith Collins.
Interestingly she has announced the appointment of three new motorcycle Safety Advisory Council members (who are they?) and says this comes at a time when ACC is boosting its focus on injury prevention across the board.
Perhaps they could start with roading contractors and their cowboy behaviour.
One would think Insurance companies would have started making noise about this. I can imagine they have suffered as a result of the roading contractor's incompetence. It seems every time a bike goes sliding down the road they feel the need to write it off so their costs must be considerable. Or don't they pay out?
Atheism and Religion are but two sides of the same coin.
One prefers to use its head, while the other relies on tales.

The weather forecast isn't looking too great is it?
If it's wet tonight, then I'll skip the big kids ride and join the juniors (Mobil Oteha Valley Rd departing 6:45pm).
I'd rather be sorry for something I've done, than for something I didn't do.
