Selwyn and Claire, many thanks for a wonderful afternoon I really enjoyed myself and catching up with our KB'ers. The bbq was terrific and the haggis hmmmm back for seconds, was terrific too.

Meanwhile Golf November Two Five Zero obviously enjoyed all the attention parked up there in the driveway.

Doug and I stopped at top of the Paekakariki Hill right on sunset, and waited for a while to see Comet McNaught. Time marched on and so we left with naught to see.

Thanks again for a great afternoon.

OK after all the bitching about the weather down here from us, Yungatart arrives from the Hawkes Bay and its a nice sunny afternoon - she must have brought it with her.

So we got a pretty good turn out, and some were willing to pose for photos, some were not. I didn't take any pics after dark, but here are the late afternoon pics.

Who's that good looking guy in the last pic talking to the chick that always has her back to the camera?

Thanks for your great hospitality guys!

I wish the boys in blue were as nice....lost my licence on the way home!
Doh......bloody Street-Rod....that's the second time I've done a road ride on it of late...and the second time I've been pinged!

Nice to put some faces to the names though.....even if it was expensive!

Here's a few more pics for you.

Sorry to hear about your licence Pete, I was just going to say that you brought the Street Rod out and it was nice to talk to you, but now I'll have to say you should've come out on a GN like a lot of people did. Nice pic the Street Rod made all the same.

How do the bosses feel about it when you have no licence in a job like yours?

You can see it was lovely and sunny.

Who's that waspish looking learner guy in full leathers on the cool GN? I wonder when he'll get off his L plate?

    You're right there Paul!

Mind you...bit of a shaky 'bust' really....I went past a patrol car just before McKays crossing....didn't think too much of it seeing as there was a concrete barrier between us. I got to the 'Hill' turnoff, and for some strange reason didn't feel 'good' about going over it.....should've...as at the camera on the highway of death they pulled me over while the patrol car came back and identified me......I'll fight that one though....as they didn't have a rego number etc.....should've gone over the hill eh!

Love your bike by the way! Gorgeous!

So what is the cop saying - that you were speeding at the speed restriction for the road works - was it posted at 70 or 50, that I can't remember? Luckily we drove through there in quite a stream of traffic later on. Saw no cops at all but maybe at our age we are more blind than you younger guys.
    Cheers

Feck! Thought that might have been it... Bloody 70kph / 80kph zones?? It does not take much to go over because the %^$# have extended them out so far! It is just ... well... Stupid! After 6:30 there are 30 kph zones with trucks breathing down your neck.. argh! Bastard of a place. 2 work mates have been pinged recently for 112 and 113... Luckily in the 100kph area. In the 70kph area.... well....

Thanks for the comments about the C - its a bloody tart's handbag of a bike no mistake and I have to say! Well - we bloody LOVE it... More fun that a trouser full of greased weasels at a vegan lesbians picnic on extroverts night..

For a night out like that - better than all the R1's and other assorted letters of the alphabet together.. Magic night.
