Star Wars actor completes round-the-world ride

Ewan McGregor, with his friend and fellow actor Charlie Boorman completed their round the world ride when they arrive in New York. The pair set off from London in April and since have crossed 20,000 miles through Europe, Russia, Siberia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Alaska and across North America to New York.

Dangers faced include flooding in Mongolia – and being arrested by border patrol guards who did not recognise the ‘Star Wars’ actor. Fortunately for him, a local businessman spotted the pair and allowed them to stay with him while the correct paperwork was hurridly rushed through.

The road rip has been filmed for a seven-part TV documentary, Long Way Round, and will form the basis of a book. The project has also raised money for the UN's Children's Fund.

    Sweet.

Hope the series/book/etc help dispell the myths, and raise awareness of two wheelers.
