The leathers worn by Steve Hislop in his final race will go on display in his home town after a public appeal.

The outfit was up for sale and fans asked councillors in the Borders town of Hawick, where Hislop was born, for cash to keep it in the country. They were given £3000 and the leathers will go on show in the town's Drumlanrig's Tower museum.
