Umm VFR's. A previously minted white 1986 VFR 750 until some fucktard decided to make some fairing modifications with his car. It will be restored to its former glory as soon as I can extract the cash from the little bastard.

I love my VFR it being the model VFR750FR of 1994 (which I think is also known by design model number RC36 but I think that applied to all VFRs from 1990 until the 800 came out). I bought it sight unseen when the model was launched overseas I just told Sawyers (Garry Winn at the time) get me one of those so I got probably the first one landed in NZ Feb 94 and 13 years later I have no regrets about buying it. It is fast and enjoyable to ride even two-up with Mrs merv on the back. You've seen stacks of my pics but here's that one I showed after it had been cleaned http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/at...5&d=1093676652 which I only do about twice a year but when I do I do it properly.

Big ups are it is smooth at any revs - doesn't lurch and jerk like a Ducati so will pootle along in 50k zones in as high as 4th gear - it has squirt when you want it, and it will do around 20km/l on 91 octane even at the pace I ride at giving it 350km until the fuel light comes on and a safe 400km on its 21 litre tank. Handling is neutral so it carves through corners - real racers would say its too low to the ground as it is easy to scrape the pegs especially two up and I scrape the collector box on left hand curves so have had to have the seam welded once already. So yes it is a sports tourer not a sprots bike but I don't want to do 300km/hr on the road anyway.

I'm a prospective member and dead keen on getting an NC30/35. Just matter of finding a good one for under 5k. If anyone knows of any outside of trademe, let me know

hmmm, how much would you pay for my nc30? It's gamgees old one. I'm thinking of selling. Since gamgee had it the fork oil has been changed, air filter, carbs cleaned. The oil is still fairly fresh since he had it, it can put the power down and the consumables are still all good. Always taken care of by me. no real difference between any of the nc30's/35's just the suspension got a little better.

yeah i thought the carbs needed to be cleaned, did it stop that little miss it had? not sure why you needed to change the fork oil seeing as it'd just been done, but did it make any difference? maybe you just needed to adjust the setup, as i'm quite light (60kg) I didn't really have the front setup too hard

NC21 and proud of it haha.....but id rather have a 750 or 800

got it a bit rough and have replaced rear passenger subframe to straighten it out, the radiator since it had been slightly wrapped around the frame (!!!???) and new left side fairing

still a bit worn but goes pretty well and handles nicely (just a bit small for me is the only problem) but i've been quite impressed with it (only had it for about 3.5 months)
