Yeah.. with the added bonus of RC's appreciating in value, and Blade's decreasing at a rapid rate..... DOH!!!

And, it actually wasn't that bad to ride..... very very very smooth.... Blade was just faster....

Never mind.... I've built a very high spec nc30 now, so that'll have to do me...

Sorry but I'm in the middle of sorting out getting this bike: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...311934.htm?p=3

I've just finalised loan details, got a shipping quote, sorting out safetrader details tonight and hopefully I'll be sending the money across tomorrow, up to biketranz to how soon I get it. Sorry man, thought I had missed out on your bike, good luck selling

VIR reports are very handy if you're a bit dubious about a vehicles history - gives all previous owners, all recorded mileages at wof time etc, rego changes, all the fruit
    unfortunately there $25 a pop...but worth it if you're spending a few k on a vehicle

Neither would I but the loan is under my parents name (since I'm under 18) and my parents are very paranoid of things going wrong. I feel a bit cruel saying I'd like to work through safetrader cause I'm basically saying I don't trust the guy

As for VIR's, it was a good job I got one for the first VFR I was interested in cause I found it it went around the clock (then the seller made the excuse that he swapped the engine), the second one for Morcs bike came clean and so too with the bike I'm getting now. However, it's expensive for information that should be freely available and that banks can check themselves for free and banks generally have a lot more money than the average public

I Sold my nc30 this morning.

I ended up settling for less than i wanted, but all the sale groundwork was done and just couldnt be arsed going through doing the advertising, viewing, blah blah all over again.

Apparently the cams were loose because the load that the cam gear puts on the shafts and is apparently quite a mission to fix (what isnt on an nc30 lol)

The dude offered 3200 which i rejected initially, apparently cyclespot said even that was too much - funny that, considering i bought the same bike in rough-as condition from them just 3 months previous for 4000...

But anyways, cheers George, hope to see you on the road soon.

Funny that, dealer double standards. Offering $3200 is a bit like saying 'you're a f**king c**t', offensive. Angers me like hell

Well done selling the bike off, enjoy the RVF

Still waiting on my VFR to get here. Had to wait for the payment to get through to safetrader, then have to wait till tomorrow for biketranz to pick the bike up and I don't know how long it'll take to get here but it will be to my door at least.

    Well I'm George, and I bought Morc's NC30.

What the bike shop told me is that the V4 engines are prone to the camshaft seat's wearing because of the pressure the cam gears put on the shafts as they're spring loaded.

To be honest the engine does make a lot of noise when its warmed up, and I'm going to have to strip it down to find out exactly what is going on, as opposed to buying a bike I could just jump on and ride straight away. Theres also a lot of work to be done with cleaning up and repainting the fairings and sidecovers etc, so my offer was based purely on the amount of work to be done, compared to buying one which didn't require any work at all.

Don't think I'm going to be riding much until I've got it 100% though, but I'm happy to have a bike again, and happy its another VFR, although I may need to look at getting it a bit faster. I had an NC21 before (VFR 400Z) which did seem to have a lot more power, and even Folcan's (my little brother) NC24 seems to go a bit better. Might just be the cams though, so we'll see. Can't have my kid brother having a faster bike than me !!!

Thanks again. I know I'm a fussy buyer.
