Seriously gotta replace the headers and collector...rust is starting to win the fight down there

    Anyone tried a Delkevic system?

    looking at these presently:

Was thinking of getting a mate to pick them up when he goes over to the states at Xmas...worth it?...over kill?...or any other brands etc I should look at (or just go standard mild "I rust easy" steel)
Dude i got a exhust the rear headers and the middle section i brought from the uk second hand
I only needed the front headers you can have the rest just sitting in the garage

its for 92 model i think it fit your bike just got light surface rust not bad

OMG!!...thank you SOOO much for the offer mate

....but I think they are not actually compatable (with out modifying the whole system and possibly lossing the centre stand)

90-94 - (has a massive "collector box" and different muffler fitting

94-97 - (no collector box to allow for centre stand & Ball socket muffler fitting)

Is the one in your garage as pictured above? (with the collector box)
Thanks again for the offer mate, but it looks like it may cost more in modifications alone than getting a second hand replacement system. (I only need the collector, the headers etc only have surface rust that can be cleaned up)

We found the easiest way to do it if you don't want to remove the engine is to hacksaw the frame.

I'm trying to train my 2 year old to thread a nut. I reckon with some grease on her wrists she'll be able to just about get the nuts back on for me

    It's a pain on a '21.
Taking the rear shock and heat shield out seems to be the most efficient way.
Even then I had to modify tools to make it easier.

    Howdy Campers....

Just bought one of these VFR's the other day. An 800. Needed a bike that would be reliable and semi comfortable to do some kms on. Though I feel like an old man riding it though

    All the best.

Hey all, I've got a 2002 (pre-vtec) 800 with a Givi touring screen. Great for long distance but a pain the face when pushing it as it's smashed me in the visor a number of times. Wondering if anyone with a standard screen would be willing to part with it or even do a little swaparoo?

I'm sure I'd miss it on the longer trips I've got planned but I just move around too much on the bike.
You only need two tools in life:
Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't.
WD-40 if it doesn't move and it should.

Brute force and ignorance always prevails.
Failure comes from too little brute force, or
    too little ignorance.
