Yep! Yet to crash a motorcycle. Have used all there is to use on the tyre but yet to get knee down....need to learn how to hang off more.
Kinda strange catching someone through a corner and they have their knee down and you don't....
Tyres at the end of the day
Right side gets hammered....
Suspension is working nicely so little tyre wear...After a day at Taupo a month ago the rear tyre was shredded. Adjusted the suspension and it cleaned up nicely.
Niice. No surprises there given the track. Do any tracks go anti clockwise?
I feel like I should add a pic now!

I saw your pics from your trackday http://clmintiepix.photoshelter.com/...00hYQG3oP9Q2I/
But didn't realise it was you. Thought you had a seed NC30!

Thats a video of my 2nd session out there, unfortunately the camera died so didn't get my last 2 session when I was going a tad faster.
As for the knee down business, you will get there I'm sure, it certainly isn't a gauge of how fast you can ride though. Remember to draw a line with your hand grip and try and align your body with it, especially your head. All your weight on the outside leg and waahooo, knee down!
Hnngg, shinies. You have so many trick bits on your NC, I am jealous. Just out of interest, what kind of fork setup are you running?
Standard forks with racetech emulators and stiffer springs (.90kg/mm and .95kg/mm...yeah different stiffness in each fork but gives an overall spring rate of .925 i guess) and ohlins oil I believe. No idea what is so special about the oil I just trusted that Robert Taylor guy.
Other than the forks, nitron shock and 17" rear there is nothing trick about my NC!
Unless you count an aluminium fairing stay
Next purchase will be new handlebar grips and some sort of stomp grip for the tank.
Hello here,
Looking for some reference information for vfr800 99-01, if anybody has it in garage - could you check what the normal temperature of your stock/replaced regulator/rectifier is after 5min on idle? (can touch it on the left side if seat removed). Not precise, but just cold/warm/hot/so-hot-cant-touch.
Just had RR replaced with new FH012aa (previous one did a bit of smoke..), it's all good with voltage but hot as hell, up to melting black plastic and "overheat protection" firing from time to time. Not sure if it supposed to be like this by design, or something weird happening around.
no VFR800 sorry, but the point of that RR is that it should run cooler than stock RR - was it an oem one or chinese copy perhaps? or otherwise is it suitable for the vfr800? I know people put them on out vfr400's as well as the CBR600s, the 800 doesn't have a higher output by any chance?
Replaced my front tyre with a bridgestone S20. Seems nice so far, turn in is noticeably smoother, it doesn't feel like it's 'falling in' anymore (previous tyre was a knackered BT014 that felt skittery and horrible). I'll will post some more feedback when I've put some more KMs on it.
Anyone planning on heading along to this twilight session on the 4th of Feb?
$60!! So cheap!
