Three Gorges Ride Sunday 17 June

In honour of getting a new bike and with it being Mrs S's day off work I reckon a ride to the Ashley Gorge, Waimak Gorge, and the Rakaia Gorge is in order with a pie and a pint at Hororata pub just to finish the day.

Anyone keen for a gentle tootle around the gorges leaving 10:30am from BP Marshlands Road?

If it's pissing down with rain (which it won't be) we'll try for the weekend after.

Depending on the weather, I'm keen.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, .... but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,... shouting "man, what a ride"!!!

Well I might be keen... 10.30, would that make return in time for this house warming event 1.30pm?

The weather to should be like you say, unless that front storms in faster than they predict

I had the top score for choir boy as well (28 I think) but it expires after like 2 months so you should be able to get the top after two months if you get 2nd place.

Sounds like fun, and makes a change from Akaroa.

Count me in as long as the weathers fine.

I'll go and sort the random rocks on the run down into the Rakaia Gorge later in the week

Be warned though the shingle spreaders have been laying grit for the last week through the Rakaia for the frost in the mornings so be careful
