A biker is taking legal action after clampers towed away his car and motorbike by mistake.

James McDonald was stunned to find his vehicles were clamped on private land outside his house. Despite his claim that they were legally untaxed while awaiting repair, they were towed away the next day.

But the DVLA were forced to admit the blunder and return the Transit van and Honda motorbike to Mr McDonald, of Stirling.

The former teacher now plans to sue the police over the role they played in the removal of his vehicles.
