Undercover bike cop's ‘hate’ slogan slated by Lawyers

New York civil liberties lawyers have protested to the NYPD for allowing an undercover motorcycle policeman wear a helmet sporting the slogan "Loud Wives Lose Lives”.

"Whatever may be the extent to which undercover officers reasonably can seek to conceal their identity, we see no justification for an officer endorsing the killing of wives" said Donna Lieberman and Chris Dunn.

NYPD spokesman Paul Browne defended the officer "Undercover officers often adopt personas to include garb that reflects neither their personal nor the department's sentiments, but to reinforce the guise that they are not police officers" he said.

Which just goes to show how much the American legal system has departed from the path of upholding the law. These lawyers seriously expect undercover cops to openly display conscience, morals, and integrity while working in dodgy situations?

One would almost suggest that a "Civil Liberties" lawyer should be given an undercover assignment to see how long they would last. Given that we are discussing a lawyer, they would probably rise to head whatever crime organisation they infiltrated.
