    dam i would.

its strange, i do pop into kiwibiker now and then juat to read the gossip, see whats happening. hope your all doimg well, and now with winter ummmm your summer approaching have a few rides for me. my fav was the patau north , south run. so make sure ya get one in will ya.
i have not been on a bike for a while now, but i think i am going to leave the sports bikes alone and go towards dual purpose. im thinking the new gs800 of course BMW. only problem i have with BMW is they are so ugly. but reliable strong and everything works. thats such a good idea with the places i am planning on going. but ill keep yall updated as to what happens.
all i can say is that im not in new zealand anymore toto.

    so whats the gossip?

    well its cold here.

im kind of glad i must say, the summer was a real blistering heat, now the winter is here and allready the temp has been dropping. 120f in summer and now the days or night rather are seeing late 30'sf. in degrees celcuis (which makes sense to me) summer high's upto +40 degrees and a winter low expected to be -10 degrees. records have been 42 in summer and -17 in winter.
but just t show you all, the hills about where i live, snow snow snow.

and yay my work permit is through, so im off to find a job.
1 year off work has killed the bankaccount for sure and the weak new zealand dollar.

but im thinking whe i get the right job, home first for a visit in june then a bike, dual purpose, or something like a ST1300. hmmmm we will see.

hope you guys are doing well back home. weather must be warming up.

Weather is looking good. Last Thursday Night ride for the year (next Thursday is Christmas). I'm running in a new Honda Hornet 600 for Planet Honda (Zena is getting serviced), so ya might see us on that instead of Zena.
Had a CBF250 tuesday. What a laugh. Felt soooo small. I looked like a Clown on a small Clown bike, LOL.

    Thumbs up

For those of us that made it (The Colonel, Dargie Mike, Blue Babe & me) it was an awesome ride. The 2008 Honda Hornet was a breeze to ride (even two-up). Very sweet around the corners. An ideal second bike for those just stepping up from their first bike. Very easy to ride and very forgiving (not too bad looking ether). Thanks ta Planet Honda for loaning me this bike while "Zena" is getting serviced.

Thanks for that Doug, ill keep that on the list.
ive been thinking that i need something for back home when i come back, wish it was a bike, but thinking it may be a car. maybe i should buy something here and ship it back, just something small to ride about on when im back home. nothing smaller than a 600. (no comments please)
what was the price on the bike doug? and from the pillion stand point was it comfortable?

Will get Mike from Planet ta post a price on one for ya (there should be a demo one nicely ran it for ya there). Two day play ok. Blue Babe was happy back there, and wasn't to high up (defintely didn't effect my riding having her behind). Might be a bit hard on the longer hauls for the pillion. Ya would notice a drop in power from the SV1000 on the straighter sections and during passing, but ooh so smooth in the cornering (even two up). I'd have one as a commuter/solo day-play bike any day. All most sad having ta give it back to Planet today.

Borrowed again while getting my tyres changed RRP $16,000 at the moment for a brand new 2008 Honda Hornet 600.
