Meeting with Council Transport Committee- Thursday

BRONZ (and AUMC) have a slot booked to address the Transport Committee of the Auckland City Council at its next meeting. Don't know when the enxt meeting is yet because the Council is still inventing itself .

It would be good to get some bikers roll up in support. One person with a grievance is a crank, two are an interest group, twenty is the voice of the people.

This Thursday , 13th Dec at Meeting Room, Level 15, Civic Building, 1 Greys Avenue, Auckland on Thursday, 13 December 2007 at 12.30pm.

Anyone who can come along, please do. Free parking in the Aotea car park building.

I'll be outside the uni gym from 11:30, if any other bike club guys are coming, meet me there! Leaving at 12 to goto the civic building, come along and lets show that its not just a grudge

We're looking to have our voices heard over the state of parking in the city, the number of parks, location of parks, the change in attitude towards footpath parking... possibly the consistenty incorrect issuing of the wof/rego tickets by the wardens? (cant guarantee this) So if you're parking outside uni, it DOES affect you.

    Calendar event here: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/ca...-13&e=1496&c=1

We only get 5 minutes speaking time. It's usually possible to slip ou if you sit down the back. But we'd need to be there a bit before time. So I guess an hour all up

Draft of what i will say. Input is welcome, but bear in mind that we have ONLY 5 minutes to speak. And it is enforced. A read through of what i ahve so far is 6.5 minutes - I can cut that down to 5. But there is no room for any more.

The members may 9or may not) ask questions, which gives scope for elaboration.

well i know you can't put much in there, but maybe a mention of wardens ticketing bikes for not having a wof when they clearly do. i've watched them doing it - they aren't even looking for the things
