Teenager starter bike

Hi,

I'm looking for an off road bike to get my 13 yr old started on. I'm trying to stay under the $1000 mark so I've been looking at some of the Chinese imports. Can anybody advise?

I saw an Orion advertised is that any better than the no-name stuff?

be afraid! be very afraid! Most of what you find from China is absolute shiite!
I operate dirt bike rentals and my entry level bikes are Chinese but are very different from all the others that I have found. check out these links and PM me if you think I can help. I have 4 of these and have had a 100% reliability record despite these things getting a caning from every rider- including me!
