Police want to trace the driver of a Nissan vehicle that deliberately rammed a motorbike at Dryclough Lane, Halifax.

The motorcyclist had been travelling from King Cross towards Huddersfield Road when the dark green Nissan 4x4 ran into him. "Fortunately he (the motorcyclist) sustained only minor injuries," said PC Lowden of Calderdale Traffic Police.

"We want the registration number of the Nissan,” added PC Lowden “Considering the time, the roads would have been busy but we have only got one witness at the moment."

The only distinctive thing about the Nissan is it had space for a tyre at the back of the vehicle but there was not one there.

Anyone who saw the accident or who knows the registration of the Nissan should call Calderdale Road Traffic police on 01422 318146.
