Kiwi Biker - Keeping you up with the latest gossip...no matter where you are
Buell XB12X absolutely standard. I average 21km/l on every tank. It's the most economical bike I've owned.
CBR600F4i was the most uneconomical at around 14km/l average. Oddly enough I found 98 had worse economy than 95 with that bike.

Road to Cape Reinga from Napier and I used slightly more petrol on my 150 than my dads 650. Was not happy as I had to add two stroke oil to that. Gah I guess that's what I get for buying a two stroke.

What people call "intuition" is usually just what they're used to.
At least l/100 km is a measure of fuel *consumption* rather than its inverse. There was a BMW ad in America a few years back referring to the fact that they cut the fuel supply completely at high speed on the overrun. The title was "0 mpg at 100 mph". There's one ad-writer who doesn't find the mpg scale intuitive!
Anyway, as long as you remember the litre/100 km and km/l scales cross at a value of 10 you'll be sweet.
