    Fuel mileage?

I sometimes get asked what sort of milage my bike gets...so I was wondering if anyone wanted to post their bikes milage for others to ponder.
With such a wide varity of bikes out there it just may interest folks for a number of different reasons..no mfg bashing, just sharing some info.
    I'll start:
    750 Honda Shadow 25 k's per liter
    250 Suzuki Intruder 32 k's per liter.

Glad you did this, woodboats. I thought about it the other day but hadn't got around to posting the thread.

Marauder VZ800, 1997, overdue for a good session in the workshop: 5 l/100km commuting, about 4.5 open road.

    Sorry, that's 20-23km/l I suppose...

As a related question, what's the best mechanical way to improve your fuel efficiency for typical around town traffic? (I'm assuming fairly steady speed, no major acceleration/deceleration, or high speed).

2000 Honda CBR600F4. After 12,090kms that I have ridden it,
    - 5.48 l/100k,
    - 18.30 km/l or for the oldies,
    - 51.7mpg

I try and run on 98 but it's only possible to do that about 50% of the time so the above is an average across all fuels. The difference between 95 and 98 is interesting.
    - 95 = 17.82 km/l
    - 98 = 19.77 km/l

The conclusion therefore is that 98 is not more expensive to use than 95. I wouldn't let 91 near my bike.
