    need my bike rereged......

as most of you know that my bike got writen off, you also know that iv bought it back and fixing it, iv got most essentials done just left with paint and the agony of finding a new front wheel which is harder than you think i might add.

Anyway, i just wanted to know if there’s any one that can lead me to an engineer to get an engineering report done?

F1 engineering or the guy that Star insurance advertise:
    >>>> De-Registration / RE Registration Process
The bikes are de-registered, for your safety and ours.

However, it is a simple process to re-register the bike.

First you will require a Repair Certification (Land Transport NZ 308), we use a Motorcycle Specialist to issue these (obviously after it passes).

Please call Gil on 021 725717.

Then the bike can be run thru a Testing Station for Compliance, where you will be issued a Number Plate and WOF (again, after passing).

Also, if you have any questions in regards to the process,
    please give Gil a call on 021 725 717
(Just mention to him that you are ringing him after reading this)
Last time i saw your bike, the rear chain was flogged and more than just the fairings were fucked, it'll take more than just the fairings sorted to get it through the compliance check

Should just use the insurance money to buy another and keep that one for bits/part it out!

I am sure if you wreck the current bike you will get a bit of money out of it....then you can afford to buy perhaps another gsxr250

Just let us know Ehab if you need us to roll your bike down a ditch of something.

But then again, getting your bike back for $100 bucks isn't so bad.

Best of luck with the re-reg.

Just wondering here ehab, did you write it off when you slowly bumped into the back of that car? Or was there another crash I don't know of? No offense, just I thought you didn't write it off until you told me today.

    SLOWLY bumped into a car?

he needs a new rim, therefore NOT slowly
actually brings into question the forks and frame....

actually, i'm pretty sure he only told me he was distracted, didn't see athe car infront stop, slammed brakes and dropped it.... never mentioned hitting the car... (maybe just poor memory)

Na i didnt hit the car i just dropped it, the only reason i need a new front wheel is because it has too many scratches on the lip but it handles sweet the last time i road it..

Do u need to have fearings to pass? What bout nakeds?
And do they check the chain 2??

Don’t mater i could get it a new chain, and all the fearings need now is a new paint all cracks are sorted. I got it mirrors indicators and all that crap u need to be safe on the road...

Does anyone know or have the check list for reregistering a bike?

Unless maybe you take it to a place like VTNZ which they dont even dare touch the bike....might get away with it.

looking at it tonight i reckon it's in better condition than my one (which i bogged and sanded before painting to hide the fact at some point it was badly kerbed)

provided the fairings aren't going to fall off they shouldn't matter

that chain is about to come off - TENSION IT
