    Free to good home

Free FXR tank. It's in a bit of a state but still servicable. Bottom cut out and a plastic tank inside as the old one rusted. Pick up needed.

Believe me Dave, I'm itching to get back in there. I now have two halves of bikes, an RGV 250 and bits of the old FXR. I have pretty much got the RGV to a rolling chassis, which was more work than I first anticipated. I'm going to come on here grovelling soon once I've got the fork seals changed to see if any kind hearted person will help me transplant the FXR motor. Beer being the currency of course!

It's been difficult to get it to this stage as I've got so much other stuff going on in my life that took over my finances and time but I do want to get back out there as soon as possible as I don't want to lose the passion for it due to time away, if you know what I mean.

Cheers Dave. I'm pretty set in that department with Mike chandler just down the road from me. I'll get there, just difficult when I need to rely on other expertise on certain things. I'll pop down to say hello at Kaitoke next meet.

Spent the day wit them yesterday, but they'll be doing nationals. Turn the bike upside down and place the engine in. The chain should be placed so it just rubs the top of the swingarm

If you want to see an example of how to fit a FXR into a RGV send me a PM and I'll send you some pic's of mine.
Someone else fitted it for me as I'm mechanically useless, but it's hung on in there and now I've got it handling good it's real fun to ride.

I think the 125 chassis has the chain run on the wrong side for just about every other engine ever built. You may want to check.
    Stock is best

No I think you'll find Rotax did lots of RHS chains, as did several queer Trials bikes.

But yeah good advice if you want to fit a Japanese engine.
