Since it's winter now I reckon there needs to be stuff like this at NASS. We should do some proper Gymkhana runs. It would be amazing fun and extremely useful for improving bike control and improving understanding of the tyres. If anyone is keen to get something going, give me a message and let's do it. I've been doing some stuff like this in the car park in the wet recently, turning harder and harder, letting the tyres slip a bit and getting comfortable with it. Has already done wonders for my confidence in rain. You can actually lean it really hard before it starts losing grip I am surprised.

I would be willing to invest in some cones and timing equipment, I think this could be epic if everyone got into it like in Japan.

i actually have been talking to John (KoroJ here from KB, big ) regarding this sort of stuff.
he got some circuits of "Gymkhana"/"Police rodeo" and made some test runs. in his last email he shared 3 circuits that he actually build and tweaked after some trials with all the dimensions and requirements.

it seems that we could make something like the shield circuit with some tennis balls 1/2's, ice cream container for cones, etc.

Enough with the temptation already! Let's just get out there and stick some objects down and go hard. I am always on the lookout for areas to do this on my own but even if I find a empty'ish space the cops are a real problem when you are by yourself. As soon as you get the lean angles on, people start reporting you.

Nothing so dramatic, but phil knows where I work and so will have realized that the purchase of Gen-I SWS by large indian company, InfoSys, will have had quite an impact on me and kept me a little busy.
