Where: Meet at Shell Westgate or Albany Noel Lemming Carpark (Check thread for updates)
Who: Learner Riders and anyone getting back into Motorcycling
    Why:
    • Practice essential skills to stay alive on the road.
    • Practical advice on your riding.
    • Meet new friends.
    Time: 6:30pm (Departing 7pm) or 7.30 @ Albany
Cost: Nil, nudda, nothing. Just your time and attention.
Requirements: Valid motorcycle licence for the type of bike being ridden, current WOF / Registration and appropriate safety gear including a helmet.

    Weather Permitting -
Heavy Rain will cancel for that week. Showers ok, look on the thread for more up to date information.

Depending on the number of riders and their experience levels, a short ride may be included to practice further skills. If there are enough riders, some nights can be split into two different learning groups.

    Some nights may include:
    • Practicing essential skills and techniques in a quiet carpark
    • On-the-road practice which may see you doing up to a 1hr - 1 1/2hr ride.
Details of what will be happening each week will be posted on the thread.

Check the thread for more information...

    Disclaimer:
The NASS is intended to give learner riders advice on their riding and to practice their skills in a safe and relaxed environment. The organisers of NASS are NOT responsible for any rider and/or any persons involved. All people attending the NASS do so at their own risk.

Umm... that means that there's two mentor rides at the same time, at the same place. I love the idea, I'd go to it, but it would be better if it were on a different day. That way those who want to get better at riding (Like me) would have two training rides a week, instead of a choice between two on the same day.

Just a tip, but well done!!

Sounds like a good idea. When I finally get my bike back on the road i might come have a look.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

There could be a chance of starting an Adventure/Gravel road ride in Summer (an alternative to the ATNR), but this thread is all about the newbies.

Offer as before stands. Base the whateverthefuckitscalled at my car yard.
4 reasons for--1) a very quiet area to practice skills with no skateboarders etc.
    2) a dry warm place for theory
3)a 15km section of twisty road very close by to practice the new skills
    4) if it turns to poop a transport vehicle available and a warm dry place to store ya bike

Prolly a shit loada reasons why not but hey I offered
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?
