Saw this real tidy DR800S at the first Bert Munro Challenge. I took the pics cause I hadn't seen one before.
Does anyone know how many were sold in NZ?

I followed one down Stanmore Road (chch) earlier in the week,first time I've seen one in a long long time.It wasn't as "big" as I thought it'd be either,the XT actually looked a lot taller when I was behind him at traffic lights.

It wasn't you JATZ down here for a cruise?

-edit- No it wouldn't have been as this one had a blue swingarm,yours is white from looking at your pic.

They are rare indeed particuraly since that is my bike, and yer it is in good nick though some stickers on other side have been added since then,
No 800s were sold in NZ only imports I think, some 750s were sold here though

Thats Right Ztaj you have, Im heading there now, you should be able to Match the pics to see who I am in my other life,
I know there are some other NZers that have these its just a matter of time before they come out off the woods,
Out off interest whats your top speed, Mine redlines at 175kph and Iv seen over 160kph on beach that was cool,
Also dont you think gaspipes bike is nice all white like that,

You have lost the front fender & disc guard then?

Yer I have been trying to take some weight off the front end to make it turn better on beach, but I really just need to adjust my riding style to suit, Im hoping eventually to take about 10kg off it with alloy brackets etc also I;ll probably try more agressive tires, I allso have an NX650 which is much nimbler but it just doesnt have the mumbo
