You should put that back in. pretty sure your engine won't run without it.

Ummmmm NO, just a pic I found on the net.
I'm waiting for winter before it gets stripped down, I'd hate to have it in bits now

I'd like to think I could pull it to pieces in the lounge, in front of the fire, hand bits to the kids to get them cleaned, work 'till the wee small hours on it

Yup ugly's the word, wouldn't mind some bits off it though.

Just not the chain, looks a bit slack and I'd like to know why you'd put a kick start on an 800+ single

Slack chain? You'd be right at home!

And how in hell would someone like Gaston Rahier kick it over!
If it kicked back it'd launch him to the finish line

    DR 750 parts bike

Gidday, just logged in and see there are a few out there with the old DR 750, I have just clicked over 100,000km on the old girl and she has never let me down never been touched apart from oil and filters and of course I've lost count of how many chains and sprockets.Just letting everyone know I've got a rolling DR750 frame with tank etc but no engine but some engine side covers if anybody needs any parts etc.

    Exhaust pipe

Gidday, yeah she makes abit of noise alright, it's a ZORSTS exhaust made back in 1992 by the guys down in CHCH when I was down Burnham, it was the biggest single they had done. The bike and me have been on just about every road and track in NZ but the Mrs wanted to come for rides to so I got the BMW but still love taking the DR out and scaring people.

Psssst Jatz - Zorst is made at the engineers camp in the lewis now. Keep an eye out for the yellow lada niva when you go through. Tenzing also has a zorst can. Makes a nice noise

i wouldn't mind getting an original rear wheel as the one on mines of an XR(no cush drive) and that would be the only non original part on her.
