I'm going to ride a scooter from Chch to Hoki and back again in the cold of late Autumn in order to raise funds for the Cancer Society. Check out this link to donate.

It's started raining a bit and it looks like it'd be quite wet up the Maunga.
Quite happy staying inside![]()

Mutter mutter no room on trailer mutter mutter
I may see how far around I can get on the DR with a rear IRC GP110 and a 18000km font Shinko SR244
You biking or caring Warewolf?
Nice day out. Good to see so many adv'ers there for a look-see. Shame I wasn't riding, if one more mate says, "you would have really loved this track!" I'll throw a tanty...
Congrats to nerdneh for scooping the prize pool! If he was seen staggering back to the car after the prizegiving, it wasn't 'cos he was drunk, but overloaded with loot.
Cheers,
Colin

He'd probably ride home.
Through the forestry...
I would have loved to ride that course. Even if only to get more photos.
Looked like heaps of fun.
We ended up crewing for Chris someone who was bit of a gun apparently. Didn't know him from a bar of soap but he ended up winning so it must have been due to the excellent way I poured petrol over everything on the bike & managing to get a squirt into the tank.
He had a hard case with about ten pairs of new wind-on type goggles. Oh to be sponsoredanyway i've got about 9 pairs to sell
Really good to catch up with the adv crew & full credit to nerdneh for showing those young whippersnippers how to
do it with style. What did you win nerdneh?

Yip Padmei, don't go applying for a job at the servo will ya, unless it's self service.
Had a good cruisy ride home through Golden downs, spooners, U/moutere.I don't know what the dirt bike rider thought when I pulled of the H/way onto the fire break and went scooting past him on the DR.
Had to have a look at Old coach rd too(that XT's a light bike to pick up) and got home before the rain![]()
All my "going home the long way" plans went to poo.
Raey Hill was closed due to windfall.
Raey Saddle to Spooners was closed due to the Rally of Nelson
Saw Richard Mason on the side of the road in a liasion section with his bonnet up
So I went up and around Ben Nevis instead.

Saw the rally cars too, and not a warning sign to be seen anywhere, wondered if you'd meet any on your travels.
Ben Nevis was discussed over a latte in Wakefield, but thats as close as we got.
