So why is the firm called High Performance Coatings?Shouldn't it be called Plain Ordinary Coatings?

Maybe because we do a whole range of coatings? lol.Ill talk to the boss about getting the name changed lol... Maybe we will start getting some customers in the door

We do bike frames all the time.. For anything alloy we "burn out" at a low temperature..

Yeah take used part put it in an oven to burn out to get any grease and crap off it then we grit blast it back to bare metal and then powder coat it..

As far as I know its just regular powder coating. Im not sure of the pricing tho I only work in the factory.. The price should be on the website.. or just ring up..

Looking at getting a pair of VFR400 rims coated and just called HPC, they said if the rims are still in their factory paint then they would need to be sent out for stripping ($65 each) and then basic powder coatings start from $95 each... Bloody hell!

In comparison Arkro Powder Coating quoted $50 per rim, stripped and coated while Baird and Whyte quoted $30 per rim for just the powder coating (no stripping or sand-blasting).

(Sorry for the dredge, but it's not like anything in the powder coating industry changes that much in a year...)

May well do that, although after spending the entire day blatting around, I'm not sure I'll be able to keep off it for 10 days straight...

i agree i have never had any done but i was playing with cars and got a few prices of HPC and they were always out of the price range. compared to other people that just do regular coating.
But when it comes to teflon for pistons and other highperformance coatings and exhaust. the others cant do it so they get to charge what they want. but they are very good at what they do.
