$40 senior, $20 kids, so $80 for us.....It's a lot, but we really do like the way Greg lays out such good, rideable tracks..........Also taking a couple of newbies...

Is that a Greg Power ride can't remember seeing it. $40 per rider is certainly getting up there to much for us. Probably can't afford to go every weekend as much as I'd like to. Thats $80 for me and mine plus gas in the bikes and ute another $150 odd. Shit a drug habit would be cheaper! LOL!!! Probably do the practice day at Harrisville on my own for $10 bucks or $25-00 each at the sandpit on Sunday if we go anywhere. Pity though had a good day at thunder last weekend so can't complain!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!
'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '
yeah sounds good think thats about it for organised rides for us dorklanders this weekend , woodhill is always a bit of fun. i know that wmcc charge a bit less tho-nevermind, whats a fiver between friends huh.
Is fast draining sand base . some good tight stuff if thats your thing depending on whos laid out the track and some open flowing stuff. mxers prob prefer sandpit as there is heaps of fast woops etcThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Won't be going there then, thats too expensive for a trail ride at woodhill. When you consider what the jolly poacher was like for cheaper. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I agree he's priced himself off the market! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Yep $10 Harrisville. Bargin! Even if only for a couple of hours.
$40 is just stupid IMO.
agreed cheese but not many options for forest/trail/enduro type riding. Was thunder all good for 20 odd bucks. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

You cannot compare the price of a trail ride to what it costs to ride at existing places like The Kawasaki Sandpit, Kimmys or Thunder.
These places have existing facilities in place e.g. toilets, arrowed tracks, signage and an infrastructure.
When a ride is organised outside of these then there are a whole raft of expenses that have to be added on.
Ambulance, Forestry and Land owner fees, a fair proportion of your $$ pays for security, road damage, administration, toilets signage, bunting, arrows, Insurance for fire, third party and public liability etc etc..The list is endless.
Then there are the other expenses. It took us probably 10 days with an average of 4 people to mark out and cut tracks for the Jolly Poacher. Add up how much time off work or even good riding time this takes up! Let alone the fuel costs.
If these rides weren't organised then I guarantee that everybody would get pissed off riding around and around at Harrisville every week for two hours at a time. $10 bargain. Yeah right.
Some of you guys really don't appreciate how lucky we have it here!!
Standby tho for another South Head ride(no farm land as we have had to give in to local objection) on the 23 Nov.
