    i'll start it off with,
    pine lodge motel just south of opua.

    I usually stay in pubs - not to far to travel from the bar, and cheap.
    Riverton Pub - Riverton near Invercargill
    Commercial Hotel -Kaikoura. They let you lockup the bikes in the booze cage
