    Georges tyres

    Hi guys,

    I have and Kawa ZZR250, used George for my first full service. My next is due, plus I need some tyres as mine are nearly gone.

    I travel 80kms a day from Papakura to Mt Albert.

    I am a complete noob to buying motorbike tyres. George says he has Shinkos, Kendas and Dunlops that he can fit me out with.

    Im not sure which to go with, dont know the exact model of tyre that he has.

    After reading a billion reviews, I am lost for what I should go for.

    Being it is coming into winter, I want something that isnt going to slip in the wet and has enough life to last the 80ks a day.

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    (or should I buy another brand from elsewhere and get George to fit them for me?)

    edit - fail reply is only five months late failing.

    @WADE

    Get the most expensive ones you can afford. What you want is "sticky" the stickier the better. Hard tyres (or is it tires?) will last longer, but the price difference isn't worth the replacement wing mirrors, bars and fingers if you bin it.

    And Shinkos are tractors, not trackdays. DO NOT WANT.

    for George!

    He did a great job last Thursday on my Scorpio, and gave his time for advice and such, not rushing and trying to blow you off when work was done.

    Great guy, great service! Well worth the convenience of a mobile mechanic going to your home or workplace and also not paying for overheads, as well as a reassuring feeling that your bike is in good hands.

    NZ, tyres, USA, tires.
