    Colorado 400T

Just won one of these on eBay....
    $70 kiwi...

Now, that is a deal....I know Eddie has a earlier model?
The specs say that I got a deal. GPS city has the mount for $10 kiwi....approx.
Guys....why spend hundreds on a gps when if you do some homework, you can get a perfect functional device,
a few dollars on the mounts (cheaper than NZ by far..)
    And find your way home...

I have the Colorado 300, not sure what the difference is, just pre-installed maps or more? It's done everything I've wanted and my only gripe was the external power is no good for riding. The wind catches the cable and the connection drops.

On a kinda related but different subject. Where can I buy those eneloop batteries off the shelf, Dick Smith, harvey norman?

I'm looking for digital maps of NZ roads that show gravel/sealed roads so i plan trips through the back roads.
Google maps doesnt specifically show them. -ive tried zooming in on satelitte view and it can be difficult to figure out if a road is gravel by looking at it like this. this therefore makes planning very slow.

    Anyones Gps show gravel/sealed roads?

    Yes, could manage that....
Are you interested? PM me...(it is still in transit at present)
I have a 4Gb card ready to insert with NZ/Aus Topo maps, all that will be required are the
Ram mount cradles and Ram mount for the bike to ride and navigate. USB would be handy as well, maybe hard wire it if
you wanted or use eneloops, it is a bit of a battery whore, so a couple of spares would be handy also.
Big screen though, so that's a bonus...

i'm actually trying to avoid gravel roads so looking for maps that show sealed and unsealed differently. I realize this is probably the wrong section of the Forum...

Use a map book, they are probably the best for delineating prior and during your ride...
Just have a coffee and plan ahead....
If you are really worried about it, that is the best option, surely..
When I ride I make every opportunity to avoid the tar seal...in your case it might be better to rely on
    the good ole' fashion way...
On a GPS....Don't really care as long as it isn't a dead end...
