Recently I decided that my old tween seasons Jet Leathers jacket was getting a bit old and saggy and that it was probably time to think about replacing it.
Quasi recently advertised a $1 auction on Trade Me for one of his new QMoto Viper jackets. It looked great. I was not the successful bidder, but one thing led to another and now I have a new Viper.
The delivery was extremely quick. I unpacked it immediately, checked it for obvious and glaring imperfections, of which there were none, and then I modeled it for Mrs H. The fit was excellent, and attention to detail and standard of build just as good as should be expected on a high quality leather garment. Mrs H gave it the Official Thumbs Up.
The zip-out thermal vest is a nice touch, and the zips are already fitted should one ever feel a desire to attach the jacket to matching trousers.
On Friday evening I got my first opportunity to take my new purchase out for a ride. We went out for a bite of dinner at the Black Stump Cafe in Pahiatua, via Mauriceville (the Shiver wanted to play), and home via coffee and cake in Palmerston North.
Based on those several hours in the saddle, I'm very impressed with my new purchase. Unlike some motorcycle garments, it has obviously been designed by somebody who rides motorbikes and who understands what works and what doesn't.
Highly recommended.
