yep! Only at the time i got such a fright, rolled off the throttle, down went the wheel, lost speed then had to make the call whether to drop back or continue the pass, going up a bit of a hill, I took the pass but fuck it was close!!
but yeah wahoo was going on in my helmet after!!

The trick is not to back off completly when the wheel rises- but to back off enough to let the wheel down slowly to get control of the front end again, while maintaining acceleration to pass, and making sure the wheel is straight. The last thing you want is a head shake while passing alongside a moving cage...

In fact quite a few problems can be caused by getting a fright and chopping the throttle suddenly. It takes some faith to slow down more gradually.

    Repeat after me:

    "The throttle is your friend"...

That bit of advice was straight from the book of "Been there, done that, have bite marks in the seat to prove it".
