Nice of you guys to come down south, 22 is lot more fun then 16 or any road north and there is lot more good roads down south as country gets wider. Hope you all enjoy you day and got home safe, there was lot of police on way back to Tuakau one guy of HD just pull out of his dry-way with no helmet and cop just come over hill, first car as he pull on road so he turn his light on .
Sorry I have to pullout as I work last night and tonight, I really like to carry on thinking I be OK but I start filing tired so that was it. Hope to join yous on ride north sometimes.

    Good ride today all.
Wondered where you had got to Din.
Those roads are good but i see what you mean about the amount of crap on them.
Good for a change but i will stick to our nice clean roads up here and what is it with all the cops down there, lucky (or unlucky) to see one up here.
Did have a laugh at the cow cocky with the cuppa on his bike, all class.

Maybe do Mangawhi and some extra back roads next week. Any thoughts??

Oh ZC the other half will be there next week.

Thanks for the ride everyone.. It was very enjoyable, even with the extra crap on the roads..

I hadn't done that road before, so it was nice to see some new scenery.

I'll have to join you guys again sometime, prob with one of the kids on the back, to give the wife a little bit of a break.

    Cheers all.

I think from what has been posted we are all in agreement with the condition of that road.
We will just do our normal roads next week. I guess we are just spoilt.

22 is in a mess at the moment (really don't know what the road crews are thinking), however, there are quite a few very good roads off it that are in good shape. I was down the line this weekend otherwise I'd have come along. It was a shame Din had to go early as I'm sure he would've shown you.

It made for some very suspect cornering. At the end we were going slow as you weren't sure of what was in the corner.
At least Din warned us first, but i didn't think it would be that bad.

I thought it was my riding that was bad not the roads lol the farmer seemed to be staying upright

Has anyone been down Ahuroa Road which goes from the Puhoi Pub through to West Coast Road (aka, onto Woodcocks). It looks like a real back road to get to the Puhoi Pub.

I checked a couple of maps, and the road doesn't even appear on that many. Trust Google Maps, it has it.

Is it a sealed road? Gravel?
