I would not be the best just of what is normal or strange, but the location of this tag has been annoying me for too long .... and it was foot power only

. I wasn't going to risk my 4x4 by taking it up there at night

So now I just need to find a bike to get the tag... I wonder in anyone has got a WR I can borrow

Thanks for the vote, but I can't claim it without a motorbike.... but I have a plan to return with 2 wheels and make an official claim

Unless someone else gets off their tush and claims it first !!

What d'ya reakon andy mac ..... is it finally tagged, nearly 2 months after you placed it ?

Top of Akatarawa Road, head North on a very cool 4x4/bike track. No roads signs there but many people have referred to it as Odlins Road.

You should have spoken up sooner as I only just recently worked out where it was, as like Eugene I thought it was up the Waohine Gorge ..... DOH

And the track looks really neat. I plan to go back there again when I have more time and daylight and have a good ride around the area. If you can scrounge a dirt bike from someone we should go for a hoon up there !

Yeah I'd be keen, hard part is finding someone silly enough to lets this old school mountain bike nut loose on their dirtbike for a few hours.
