Dragging the game a "bit" south (still in Auckland though)...

While you're down here check out some of the local roads. Not hugely long but some hidden gems with very little traffic most of the time.

and agree, the road you are on is a lovely ride along there... some nice corners a little further on...

Terrible! After I suggested telling people where the tag was I forget to do so myself

Anyway - Lake Pupuke, by the North Shore Canoe Club on Northcote road.

Bah! Didn't even realise you could get down to the lake there. I was completely off in my searching as I didn't recognise it from around the other side.

I knew roughly where it was. My wife identified the water on the left (not part of the main lake) that's used for canoe polo. We know it as we've launched our kayaks from there a time or two.
