Wether or not we stopped is not my issue and it will be challenged , but from where he was parked , it would be very unlikely he could see any of us put our right foot on the ground and that was one of his factors he stated in determining we didn't stop.
The other real issue was that on a main highway - he completed a U turn in front of us which required the front bikes to brake quite firmly to pull up behind him. Given the tragic results just last year with exactly the same maneuver, in front of a bike , i would expect the Popo to be a little more circumspect in even attempting to U turn in front of bikes !!!!
What the officious little man also seemed to ignore that most of us had soft toys strapped to the bikes and obviously heading out to participate in a worthy cause. What really pissed me off more - I saw him an hour later marshaling at Cambridge at the very event we were heading to - Tosser
On a nice clear day with good visibility up the road (2 k's at least) and turning left, a warning could have been an option if he felt we were being a little keen to proceed through a stop sign ( Not that we did )

I was standing on the crn of Galloway and Cobham drive roundabout watching all the bikes go past (I was out getting bacon & eggs for a late breckfast) when when I thought to myself "I wonder if LOR are... oh there they go"

    Should have checked the forum...

Good turn out at the "clubrooms" last night an looks like a few keen for a ride this Sunday.

If the weather holds out we are looking at heading down to Okoroire via French pass?

    Saturday 10
    Cloudy periods increasing. Light winds.
    Sunday 11
Becoming cloudy, and rain developing. Northeast breezes

Leaving Kingsgate Hotel carpark at the later time of 11.00 am should be back by 3.00ish.

Please register in Calendar if going

So if Sunday looks to be worse then Saturday, then wouldn't it make more sense to ride on Saturday?
I've spent my money on bikes, booze and babes. The rest I've wasted....

We ride Sundays as a lot of the people we ride with work Saturdays or have sporting/children committments etc.

People are more than welcome to arrange times outside of Sunday
