Got back about 10pm. Was quite mild, never felt cold until the last 20k from home. I'm disappointed in the photos. Took two point & shoot cameras and neither 'night' modes worked that well. Had the gopro recording stills but this has no night time capability so not worried about the 991 pics taken on that.

Reflected light from the Oparau road house.

Will do a report and post some pics up in my Waikato Rides thread shortly.

Will Kerry's Laverda be the best bike in the show??

Did a cool ride, Coro Short Loop with my friend on his 2011 Respol Honda Fireblade... moved my GoPro from my helmet to a dash-style mount... I must say, I'm impressed with the way the mount works so far

What mount are you using on the tank? Love the vid btw! Changing down to first gear, must be a monster! I'm usually in 3rd riding through those corners haha

It's all about throttle control... plus: My Yoshi R55 full system sounds great at higher revs

I've actually got it mounted to the fairing stay (the metal part that runs from the frame to behind the gauges), using the rollbar mount with an aluminum curved extender bar.

I should've done something more like that rather than depending on the suction cup

It was tough out there, but someone had to do it. I made it home.

I know where that is, used that road many a time before moving down this way... we're in Te A working at the moment, until Thursday.

A couple more from a short run around the local roads. Dont have to go far to see some lovely rolling farmland and great roads.

Nice pictures... I never think to pull over and take a good snapshot of my surroundings... I'll see if I can muster the will to pull over next time

On a slower bike you tend to notice the country a lot more. My days of being the local 'Hotshot' are long gone.

What was the show like?. I was restricted to a short "run around the block, just to keep the battery up". Two hours later,,,

O'Shea road, across the Waipa at Pirongia.
