5pm picked Kay up from work just around the corner from the tavern. Discussed going to the pub with Philmc (works with Kay). Went to Fairview Motors to get the car back from being serviced. Forgot about the pub!!!! :-(

We've got a motel booked in Wanganui after the racing but will certainly ride down with you all :-)

Dont know much about this event but if your not doing anything 19th October

This copied from their event page on FB:...

    Start: Pokeno

It's back for 2014. Keep Sunday 19th October clear as the Metzeler Elephant Run makes its return for another year.

For those who haven't joined us before, the Elephant Run is a social ride taking in some of the best roads in the Upper North Island.

Entry is FREE and all makes and models of bikes are welcome, on any tyres. However, anyone riding on Metzeler tyres, goes into the draw to WIN some great prizes, including Metzeler tyres, NEO Ride Apparel, FFM Helmets, and much more.

This is a fun, unguided social event where you can ride at your own pace, meet up with your mates – plus be in to win some top prizes!

So get into your local Dealer today to get your METZELER tyres fitted, and be part of the legendary Elephant Run.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page for the latest updates. And feel free to give us any feedback on how you think we can make the Elephant Run even more enjoyable for the riders.

And here's the link to get to the Forbes and Davies Metzeler Elephant Run 2014 event on FB.

Hamilton North Special School - 8th Annual Charity Ride

    http://www.silverbullet.co.nz/event.php?id=11474

    Sunday, 23rd November 2014

This is an event that is open to anyone that rides a motorbike and is to raise money to help children with Special Needs.

Hamilton North School is a Special School, which caters entirely for students with Special Needs. The students are aged from 5 – 21 years. All have an intellectual disability and some with various complex disabilities. They often live in foster homes or in residential homes for the disabled. They are a very disadvantaged group of young people.

The various planned educational opportunities the school offers would most definitely not be available to these youngsters without the help of community support through such fundraising events.

Metservice says cloudy with a few showers...how unusual.
