You get used to that after a bit - specially on that road.
Not that easy to do although I did get lost out there myself once. Not for long though - and even though the "locals" looked at me a lot, I got out alive...they looked a little like they were slavering at the time...I dunno...
You follow it long enough you get back OK. There are roads signposted back to Mercer etc along there. Just take care, it can be tricky.

as stated above most roads that head out east are signposted, Rangariri out, mercer out or if you miss those out to Pokeno through the edge of Tuakau, If you turn to early out to Huntly Getting lost is half the fun (if you start with a full tank), there are a couple of no exit roads east as well but signposted no exit.

Thinking of leaving Kingsgate Hamilton 8.15am sharp heading to Caseyes place (if he will let us) and getting him to lead us to placemakers.
Anyone coming????

I'll be along
I went down Ohautira Road from Waingaro road. Nice cruisy road especially after not being on a bike for 6 weeks. Took it slow as i didn't know the road and also all my gear was squeezing the shit outta me. Then I found the road joins onto the road that heads out to raglan so I was like ohhh yeah a road I know...but it had already missed out all the good parts so i stopped for a coffee and headed back. good ride though.
8:15am is too early for me. I'm still defrosting at that time.
Given that we want to be at caseyes place pretty close to 9.30 (we need to be at placemakers by 10 at the latest (ride starts 10.30) we will be heading straight up) Kingsgate to Caseyes is 99 kms so no time to tiki tour. but be good to see you out again!! cheers. Hi Kerry good to hear from you again.
