Faster & further up the feild doesn't equal more fun. Love it for what it is, I can't imagine you having a better time just because you are a few places further up the grid, which frankly, you will be the only person that gives a fuck about.
I've seen many people blow the budget on going a tiny bit faster & then not be able to afford to go to all the meetings they want to.

A methanol burning 1100ish hotrod engine.... says it all in the straight line stakes....
Handling? Centre hub steering... as opposed to leading link front ends of most of the other competitors back then.
No fairing. Alot back then didnt.
It was blindingly fast in its time. But things change.
When I got my Porteous chair, I took 9 seconds off the lap record at Baypark at the nationals.
Nowadays the gruntier and lighter longbikes are faster yet again.

Phils rebuilding it for us again.

Anyway, the bus is still old technology. Drews chair aint much different than the bus.
He could spend serious coin on a better rig, but I doubt he'd be any happier with the outcome.
The gruntier longbikes will still be at the front.

Maybe, but given two sidecars with equal HP and one with better aero it'll be quicker (all else being equal)

That would be a NZ record to break a lap record by id say.
