Does anyone know how much modification is required to fit a dr650 tank to a dr250?

    No....
But there is a bit of mucking around to get a 350 tank to fit a 250. We have a spare 350 tank and seat. There was quite a bit of dicking about to make them fit the 250 with only a small gain in capacity.

You have very smooth tyres on there at the moment, no wonder you had issues getting up the Porika
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

I find coming down a bit easier, with 2 of us plus luggage it can get interesting going up. Last time we went up I had to have a " dab " near the top in a rough section. The front was getting a bit airborne !

Just to continue the thread jack - ADVGD has a Acerbis XR400 tank on his DRZ250 and it looks like it fits really nicely (with some custom brackets).
