And no, you can't try it with my spare XR 250 tank (18-20 odd litres probably)

    Porika

This one nearly had me, but a bit of determination and recklesness saw me through
Hey James - I was up the Gowan Valley with work yesterday & was told someone had to be airlifted off the Porika recently, as a result of trying to get up there on a road bike.
While there I checked that last bit of East Bank Road but it was padlocked. I reckon it's probably a paper road so I'll persue this with the adjacent land owners.
I came out via the Braburn last night & yes, it's in great nick at the moment.

I pulled it out from the weeds behind the shed, turned the fuel on, bit of choke and 3 kicks, it started
Even the other bikes popped out to say

Took it for a wee ride and went fishing, thats French pass in the background

They should have a good ride....Any big GS's or 950/990's going ? There is a wire rope accross the top of the Maungatapu but with some gymnastics and teamwork they should get under it. quite a short steep bank to get down at the start too other than that it's all good.

It's only a weee 15 horse, cheap as chips to run , bit better than the Viscount with the 225, but I miss the space
I would join your brother for the ride over but I workin on wed.

The "safari" is becoming a fuel tanker for the sea shuttles,
and I hope I never have to put the Big in the new bike trailer

    Hijack away....

You could use them to run tours up to the lookout we went to
Best you get the fee from the punters before they start the downward journey though
