Bluebridge
From New Zealand Motorcycle Wiki
Bluebridge Ferries is a relative new comer to the Cook Strait ferry services.
Started in 2003 it is the only real viable alternative to the Interislander ferry service.
Usually marginally cheaper than the competition, the 92km trip takes around 3 hours 20 minutes versus the Interislander's 3 hours.
However if this is your first time across the Strait and/or time is not important then Bluebridge may just be for you. The trip is a scenic spectacle all round, the beautiful Wellington harbour with houses dotted on the hills, the actual open water crossing across the Strait, followed by the spectacular cruise through the Marlborough Sounds.
