Boobs on Bikes

A controversial event that happens annually in Auckland and Christchurch (and Wellington?). It consists of around 100 woman riding topless on the back of motorbikes. The event usually includes some high profile porn stars. In Auckland the event happens down the main street, Queen Street. Huge crowds are always drawn.

The City council has opposed the event for some time, but always fails to meet the criteria to deny the permit required to conduct a parade. Many woman rights group also oppose the event on the grounds that it is demeaning to woman.

The primary aim of the event is to promote the annual Erotica Expo. However they also have a team of collectors with buckets that comb the crowd soliciting donations for a charity. Typically the charity is one that relates to "boobs".
