ICE - In Case of Emergency

ICE is a way of identifiying people who have been involved in an accident and are unidentifiable due to the person being unable to communicate with emergency services.

It works in a very simple way, under the phone book in a persons mobile phone, a reliable phone number is added with the title being ICE. When required hospitals, ambulance officers and police look for ICE on a persons phone, in order to find who the person is, and any relevant information that may alter treatment in a hospital.

ICE has its draw backs, if a phone is destroyed in an accident, or locks, or the battery is flat, then ICE will not work. Most people ride with their drivers licence, as it is mandatory to do so, where more accurate and precise information on that person is available on their drivers licence.
