Queen Charlotte Drive

The Queen Charlotte Drive is a sealed road that goes in between the small towns of Picton and Havelock. Approximately 37km in distance, the road is popular with riders as it takes in several views of the Queen Charlotte Sounds and Pelorus Sounds. The road is narrow in places with some technical sections that require care, as the road has several drop offs to the sea. It has an easy access for those arriving off the inter island ferries from the North Island, as the start of the road is opposite the exit from the ferries.

The Queen Charlotte Drive also provides access to the majority of the Marlborough Sounds north to Portage. The road is also a short cut to Nelson from Picton.
