Description of the route.

62.5km, 52 mins

The whole ride is around 70km/h speed zone. Full of potholes and slips. Bad surface. Locals are angry people with shotguns. Stay away from this road!!!! ( actually I lied ... this road is all that NZ motorcycling is about... its technical, interesting, scenic, demanding and fun and all within the speed limit(mostly)) ... this is why you were born to ride in NZ!!! Youtube video

For those wanting to tempt HW22: It requires the utmost care, not recommended for new riders or people who are keen on a cruise. This road is extremely technical, inconsistent and surprising. It contains blind corners that are poorly marked, unpredictably tightening bends and poor surface/surface repairs. Take it easy even if you have ridden here before. cattle crossings and slow moving farm vehicles make for plenty of surprises. That being said if you allow for these factors it is an enjoyable ride.
