i need some advice on how to get some bits of melted and now baked on toe slider of my exhaust pipe and muffler. The exhaust system has recently been HPC coated, so i don't want to leave any marks if possible.

Being a bit unsure about how HPC would cope with conventional methods for removing said gunk from chrome, I would imagine that the safest route would be to use a solvent (petrol, thinners etc) and an old piece of towel with a bit of elbow grease thrown in. :)

BUT....before doing anything I would suggest calling HPC and asking them what would be safe to use, they'll probably have an answer as I'm sure you aren't the first to strike that problem.

Good luck! :)

Looks like HPC have a specific cleaner/polish: http://www.hpcoatings.com/am/products/products_accessories.aspx

So, like I suggested HPC themselves would probably be a good starting point before you race in and potentially damage that expensive coating....
