Te Kopuru School Trail Bike Ride (Dargaville, 31st May 2009)--CANCELLED

Due to drainage problems from recent rain on a couple of the lower lying farms and the potential damage from 500 bikes and quads this event has been cancelled.

lol yeah over 250mm for the month with some farms getting 80 odd mm a few days before the ride, would have been mud central, but would have some major damage in the paddocks.

Was the ride still going through your folks farm "4stroke" this year?

yup, the flats were under water a few days ago where the track goes, and the runoff would have turned into a enormus bog.

prob not till next year, but they hold a joint one at pouto through the forest in a few months time, mike or i will keep it posted.
