I dont have any experences, but iv'e been told by a few mates that your better off buying a bike over there because it costs just as much to get one shiped over. something about dangerous goods.

I can't recall the names of any specific companies myself but this has been discussed a few times already. You should be able to find loads of info by using the Search function. :D

And it's pretty cheap to do as well. I saw someone post up not too long ago that they got a price to ship it and wandered down to the airline and it turned out cheaper to fly it over. So that's what he did. There are some requirements but use the search function. As they said above its been aired often.

Welcome to the site mate, we took our bikes over to Oz a couple of months ago for a holiday & used: http://www.gologistics.co.nz They were pretty good. We crated the bikes up ourselves. As above, there's not much difference between seafreight & airfreight by the time all the extra fees are included. We went over via air, back by sea.
Cheers

Are you going to leave the bike there,, or bring it back.
dont think freight is to much of a problem.. have a look at getrouted.com
if you are only going for a short time you will nead a carnet.
not to hard to get.
if you want to leave the bike there .. permanent. i think its a real hassle
aussie customs are a bit strange on this sort of thing
can be done.. but think you do better to buy a bike over there
